About Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA): This British
manufacturer of motorcycles, firearms and military equipments was
founded in 1861 and focused on manufacturing arms for the British
government. At the decline of gun trade inn 1870 BSA began to
manufacture bikes and began to branch into producing motorcycles. The
first BSA motorcycle was built in 1910 and at their peak was the
largest motorcycle producer in the world. BSA motorcycles were sold as
affordable motorcycles with reasonable performance for the average user.
Birmingham Small Arms Company stressed the reliability of their machines The
BSA company experienced success in the sport of motocross when Jeff Smith
riding a B40 won the 1964 and 1965 FIM 500 cc Motocross World Championship.
These Vintage Motorcycles are now collected and restored and
customized with new techniques including durable powder coating, custom
metal polishing and exhaust coating.
