Can you powder coat cast aluminum Harley Davidson wheels?
Yes we can powder coat cast aluminum wheels or any other metal products. Once the are blasted with fine abrasive for cleaning, they are then blasted again with course abrasive so the pores are opened up. then preheated to "gas it out" any trapped gas pockets. it is then sprayed warm, not hot, to help achieve and even coating with out imperfections in the surface.

What colors do we offer?

We can offer a prism of colors to choose from since we only use the best powder coating manufactures in the industry. The powder is mixed in the factory unlike liquid paint. If you combine black and white powder it will not mix to a grey, with this in mind, it is important that we at Next Generation Powder Coating offer our customers a large selection of colors to choose from. Along with color we offer other finishes including metallic, candies textures and other special effects.

The short answer is anything metal. As long as it can withstand oven temperatures on or about 400 degrees. There are processes for powder coating plastic and even wood, however we specialize in metal only.

What Is Powder Coating?
The powder coating process is a chemical reaction between heat and powder. Powder is a chemical combination of filler, pigment and plastic resin in a solvent free mixture. Then the powder is electrostatically charged in a special unit, and then sprayed at a low volume of air to the piece to be coated. This technique and electrostatic charge holds the powder to the piece while cured at the appropriate temperature. The temperature may vary depending on the metal composition and the thickness of the part. The process of powder coating is the combination of heat from an oven and the finest material to create an impermeable finish that will last a lifetime.

Is Powder Coating Durable?
The use of quality material and the chemical reaction created make an extremely durable finish. There are different properties based on the chemistry of the product chosen to apply to a part. The finish on a powder coated part exceeds the performance of any conventional solvent based finishes.
